Newly-elected Washington County Republican Committee Chairman Brian Lester takes the podium January 19 as outgoing Chairman Jim Wilson is in the foreground. Lester is also the Washington County attorney; Wilson declined to run for re-election as he was recently elected as Justice of the Peace for District 14 of the Washington County Quorum Court. Other officers the Republican county committee elected were Washington County Republican Women President June Wood as first vice-chair; Tyler Beaver as second vice-chair; Fred Anderson, secretary, and Samuel Taylor, re-elected as treasurer. In addition, the committee elected Jim Estes and re-elected Renée Oelschlaeger as Washington County election commissioners.
