Arkansas Republican Party Rules Committee Member and auctioneer extraordinaire Tom Lundstrom cajoles dollars from attendees at the May Washington County Republican Committee meeting during the annual Washington County Republican Women Pie Auction. Tom used his usual salesmanship, high pressure, and shameless shaming of people into bidding. “Remember, this is a fund raiser,” Tom says. If bids are too low, Tom will sit down and say “Fine. We’ll stay here all night,” until someone’s bid satisfies him. As usual, Tom’s tactics worked; the auction raised exactly $800.00 for the club.
