Barbara Webb, running as a non-partisan candidate for the Arkansas Supreme Court, spoke at the January 18 meeting of Third Congressional District Republicans at the Springdale Community Center. A former circuit judge and prosecutor, she currently is chief law judge for the state's worker's compensation commission.

New officers for the Washington County Republican Women (WCRW) were installed at the joint Christmas party of the WCRW and the Washington County Republican Committee December 17 at the Springdale Senior Center. Theme for the Farmington Christmas parade on December 6 was "Elves," so Robert Dennis (upper left), Justice of the Peace candidate for Washington County District 10, was joined by his "elves"  and they gave away 2,000 candy canes and 88 stuffed animals.  Robert's float was decorated for his campaign and for the wedding chapel he operates in Walnut Grove, an abandoned 1902 church building he lovingly restored. 

Besides representing Washington County as state committeewoman at the committee meeting in Little Rock, Susan Gessler functioned as acting chair of the Third Congressional District.  As State Chairman Doyle Webb looks on, Susan gives the Third District report.

State Committee members met December 12 at the Republican headquarters in Little Rock.  Committee members learned of ongoing advances of the party throughout the state. They also witnessed shredding of construction loan documents as a result of the headquarters building being paid off.
